Greetings everyone,
I consider myself to be a strict constitutionalist, therefore you can imagine that much of the legislation passed on local, state, and especially federal levels tend to bother me. Most of it bothers me because it infringes upon our rights to private property, privacy, & most commonly of all, the fruits of our labor(Income).
Speaking of income, this gets me to the main subject at hand. On yesterday’s segment of RT’s “Capital Account,” hosted by Lauren Lyster, the topic at hand is the state of health care in the United States. Lauren interviewed Dr. Keith Smith on various aspects of the health care system in regards to the effectiveness, costs, and why they are so high. Based on my personal observations, I’ve come to the conclusion that the high costs of actual health care services were primarily due to the involvement of insurance companies being placed in-between physicians and their patients. Apparently I was correct, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Lauren and Dr. Smith dig much deeper into the current state of health care in America during this interview, and virtually leaves no ground uncovered. They touch upon federal funding, malpractice, the PPACA (Obama-Care), amongst a few things. I personally want to commend Dr. Smith on the way he runs his operation, for he practices medicine at his clinic in a more traditional way that actually helps patients. His methods are so popular cost efficient & medically effective that even citizens from places such as Canada, who actually have universal health care, come to his clinic for treatment. This goes to show you that a free market actually can work if it’s able to remain free of the bureaucratic power grab of the fascistic state we’re slowly shifting further into.
